'Collecting | Recollecting: Greenland and the North' is an exhibition at King's Museum in the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, running from February to May 2012.
It presents an artistic and anthropological engagement with place, past and present, based on field research, artistic response and museum collections at the University of Aberdeen. It's curated by artists Mark Eischeid, Jennifer Littlejohn, Malize McBride, anthropologist Jo Vergunst, and Jenny Downes of the museum's curatorial staff.
This blog accompanies the exhibition. We're going to document the exhibition and the events that are part of it. We will also have contributions from Mia Lindenhann, a resident and artist in Ilulissat, Greenland, where we carried out fieldwork in 2010. Jennifer Littlejohn and Malize McBride will also provide posts from their trip to Ilulissat in April.
